Do U.S. businesses risk losing legitimacy if they continue to boost hiring overseas?
Tue Dec 28, 2010
Until Americans are willing to get educated and paid less, jobs will continue to go elsewhere. The US is not an economic driver worldwide.
Baby boomers near 65 with retirements in jeopardy
Mon Dec 27, 2010
This is yet another lame article. I will retire at 62 because quite honestly, my brain and body can't take sitting in a cubicle any longer working for a state agency that doens't care if I'm here or not.
Man quits job, makes living suing spammers
Sun Dec 26, 2010
Wouldn't it be nice if we could get on a "do not Spam" list where in order to get an email from any business or organization you would have to opt in, not out. And there would be no exceptions for political campaigns or non profits, either.
What parents should know about school lunch
Thu Dec 16, 2010
You'd think by the responses on here that the only time most of these kids eat is at school. Get a clue parents! They eat what you eat and I'd be willing bet that most of you are taking the kids out for ice cream, burgers, pizzas and you have potato chips, soda and juice drinks at home.
What parents should know about school lunch
Thu Dec 16, 2010
Maybe you should consider volunteering to help out at lunch time and teach those kids. Most elementary schools in our town have parents who volunteer, whether it's to tutor in math, science or reading--or help at lunch time and recess.
My daughter punched a boy in the privates -- I'm so proud
Wed Dec 8, 2010
I'm the mom of a 14 year old daughter. When she entered elementary school she had a boy in her class who constantly harrassed her, teased her, made vulgar comments, and yes, asked her to check out "Mr Weiner." She repeatedly told the boy to back off. She was about 7 or 8 then.
Crocodile attacks kayakers, drags guide away
Thu Dec 9, 2010
While perhaps a raft might be safer from a safety standpoint, a kayak may well have been a better choice in terms of manueverability, portaging if necessary and a number of other reasons. These three people did take great risks for potentially great rewards.
Rep. Peter King has called for WikiLeaks to be designated a terrorist organization. What do you think?
Mon Nov 29, 2010
The US doesn't need help from WikiLeaks to damage our reputation. We do a great job already. WikiLeaks just points out the obvious.
Facebook launching 'Gmail killer' on Monday?
Fri Nov 12, 2010
I am in universal agreement that FB is not a threat to any kind of email. My 14 year old and her friends use FB like an email but really, all they are doing is chatting. If I want to actually use email, I use real email. Like a gmail account.
Obama leaves G-20 empty-handed on currency spat
Fri Nov 12, 2010
The dollar has not been the currency of choice for years. How do you think all those Wall Street dirtbags and mortgage lenders made so much money? We've been in decline because Americans are in abject denial that they need to trim their own personal spending and balance their own personal budgets.
